The episode
The tapes make it real. Detectives seize Oziel's recordings and hear the confession; days later the brothers are arrested and booked, and the season shifts from mansion to holding cells as the reality of a possible death sentence lands.
The defense starts taking shape: Robert Shapiro takes the case, then Leslie Abramson — Erik's lawyer and the season's most forceful presence — takes over Erik. On her advice, Erik discloses the sexual abuse to a court-appointed psychologist, laying the groundwork for the argument the trials will turn on.
