The short version
Monster Anthology is an editorial fan guide. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment sections. It does not ask you for personal information, and it does not sell or share personal information. Visitors in the United States get Google Analytics traffic measurement by default and can turn it off at any time. Everywhere else, it starts only after you accept it in the cookie banner — if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no measurement happens.
Your consent choice
If you visit from the United States, analytics is on by default and no banner is shown; if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics is not turned on automatically. Everywhere else, a banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. To work out which applies, your browser reads the country code that our host, Cloudflare, already attaches to the connection — no extra data is stored. Your choice is stored in your own browser (local storage) — not on our servers — so the site remembers it on your next visit. You can change your mind at any time:
Declining does not limit access to any content. Every guide on this site works exactly the same whether analytics is on or off.
Google Analytics
In the United States by default, and elsewhere only if you accept the banner, this site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-VYMZSXZE2Y) to count page views and understand which guides are useful — for example, how many people read the watch-order guide versus an episode recap. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you by name.
Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga in your browser to recognize return visits; these cookies can last up to two years and are renewed on later visits. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are not logged or stored. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies with your browser's privacy settings.
Cookies and storage we use
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics by default in the United States and only after you accept the banner elsewhere (
_ga,_ga_*; up to 2 years). - YouTube cookies — set by YouTube only when you press play on an embedded video (described below).
- Your consent choice — stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, so we do not ask you again on every visit.
The site itself sets no cookies of its own. Clearing or blocking cookies and site data in your browser removes all of the above.
Advertising
Monster Anthology does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced, it will primarily use Google AdSense, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
For reference, when a site uses advertising services such as Google AdSense, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to that site or other websites, and Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings and manage many third-party advertising cookies at www.aboutads.info.
Embedded YouTube videos
Episode and season guides embed official Netflix trailer and interview videos. Those embeds use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Browsing this site does not load YouTube content until you press play: the preview image comes from YouTube's image servers, but the actual player only loads after you click.
When you press play, YouTube receives your request and may set its own cookies or use its own measurement. That activity is governed by Google's privacy policy, not this one.

Guides link to third-party sites such as Netflix and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices; this site is not responsible for their content or policies.

We do not maintain databases of personal information. If you have a privacy question, or believe any content on this site affects your rights, write to us via the contact page and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Changes to this policy
If the site adds advertising, forms, or other services that touch personal data, this policy will be updated before that happens, and the date at the top of this page will change with it.
