Monster launched at the Canalhouse bar in Nottingham, on a chilly October evening. The room, decked with fairy lights, was filled with local writers, friends and family for a great night of live music and readings from Monster.
Kicking off with live music from Nottingham born and bred Alexa Hawksworth, the launch was introduced by Sandeep Mahal, Founder Director of Nottingham City of Literature. Writers featured in Monster then read their work, with some laughs, some emoting, and some stunned silences from the audience.
Guests tucked in to three delicious cakes, decorated in grim, ghoulish and glorious ways, and picked up goodies including bookmarks and badges.
Monster is on sale at Waterstones Nottingham and Five Leaves.
